  • おはようございます。 6月23日は慰霊の日です。 1945年4月に米軍が沖縄本島へ上陸して以来、一般住民を巻き込んだ激しい地上戦が繰り広げられました。沖縄戦では、県民の約4人に1人にあたる20万人以上の尊い命が失われました。その中には多くの一般市民が含まれていました。日本軍の司令官であった牛島満中将らが自決したのが6月23日であり、この日をもって組織的な抵抗が終了したとみなされています。 「慰霊の日」はこの悲劇を忘れず、戦争の犠牲者を追悼し、世界の平和を祈る日として、沖
