  • Does anyone know if there’s natlang precedence for the change /ɸ/ > /u/? Particularly in environments like CɸV? Velars like /x ɣ/ > /i/ seem pretty well attested so why not a bilabial to a rounded vowel? I want to use it to make diphthongs.
