モンシロチョウが他の野菜に見向きもせずにキャベツだけに執拗に近寄るのを見て、どうやって他と見分けているんだろう？と疑問に思っていたら、ナショジオのポストでなるほど納得した 昆虫の複眼が人間には見えない波長を視覚として捉えているのは有名だが、それに加えて「植物自らが発する固有の温度」で種類を見分けている、という事らしい つまり昆虫は本能的にその波長+温度で種の保存に必要不可欠な植物を選別してるって訳だ そりゃ不織布掛けてあるキャベツも見えるよね！面白いなぁ☺️✨️ #家
