我在《廣韻》裡查「戛」字的時候，發現「戛小韻」裡有一個字「圿」。 想起家鄉話裡有個詞 gou jia. 意思是人身上的污垢。我也是從小只知其音、不知其字，用「圿」字去查才知道，gou jia 的正確寫法是「垢圿」，讀作ㄍㄡˋ ㄐㄧㄚˊ gòu jiá. 郭璞注《山海經》說：「澡洗可以磢體去垢圿。」 #關中方言 #漢語 #困學筆記
讀吳雨僧（吳宓）日記，1910年12月23日記：「路中塘土極厚，至五寸許，加以風吹頗烈，塵氛迷目，甚苦人也。」 此處「塘土」一詞是陝西關中地區方言，指路面或地面上踩踏出來的浮土、塵土。吳雨僧家鄉在陝西涇陽縣，與我的家鄉同屬咸陽市，方言非常接近。我從小就知道、也常用這個詞語，但卻不知怎樣書寫。看到吳雨僧寫作「塘土」，我以為正確寫法就是這樣。但我立刻想到：為何是「塘」而不是其它同音的字？ 《說文解字》釋：「隄也。从土唐聲。徒郎切。」 《廣韻》釋：「築土遏水曰塘。」 《新華字典》釋
