What “actant” means

Wikipedia

In narrative theory, an actant in the actantial model of semiotic narrative analysis is a type of role that a character may have in a narrative. Bruno Latour writes,An “actor” in [actor-network theory] is a semiotic definition -an actant-, that is, something that acts or to which activity is granted by others. It implies no special motivation of human individual actors, nor of humans in general. An actant can literally be anything provided it is granted to be the source of an action.

#actant across platforms

every network with a public tag surface

Follow #actant straight to each platform’s own tag page. Where a platform publishes open data we measure it above; the rest lock their numbers behind paid APIs, so we link rather than guess.

Every number above is measured from a named public API at the shown fetch time. Nothing is estimated or extrapolated. Platforms that lock their data behind paid APIs are not shown. Agents: the same numbers, as JSON, at /api/hashtags/actant
