@cwensel multipass also has the advantage that it is free for commercial use, unlike Docker Desktop. You can even use docker inside the multipass container. I don’t understand it, but #ApacheOrc builds a bit faster in multipass than in Mac
I got my #AppleM2Max Mac book replacement for my old x86 mbp 15. Java build time for #ApacheOrc 1.7 went from 162 seconds to 100 seconds, which is 38% faster. Nice. Of course the biggest win is a good keyboard. #NoFanNoise
