What “cation” means

Wiktionary · Wikipedia

cation/ˈkat.ʌɪ.ən/

  • nounA positively charged ion, i.e. one that would be attracted to the cathode in electrolysis.
Full entry on Wiktionary →

An ion is an atom or molecule with a net electrical charge. The charge of an electron is considered to be negative by convention and this charge is equal and opposite to the charge of a proton, which is considered to be positive by convention. The net charge of an ion is not zero because its total number of electrons is unequal to its total number of protons.

#cation across platforms

every network with a public tag surface

Follow #cation straight to each platform’s own tag page. Where a platform publishes open data we measure it above; the rest lock their numbers behind paid APIs, so we link rather than guess.

Every number above is measured from a named public API at the shown fetch time. Nothing is estimated or extrapolated. Platforms that lock their data behind paid APIs are not shown. Agents: the same numbers, as JSON, at /api/hashtags/cation
