My #audiocd ripping project is going fine. Today: Ran into a box set that I bought in the late 1990s. Whoops! The first CDs I've found in the pile that had disc rot. All 3 discs were yellowed, two of them were translucent. Ripped fine thoug
TIL (or relearned): /dev/sg0 is the device I should be using for ripping CDs. It's still not great on this machine (roughly 9×), but it's still three times faster than /dev/cdrom, aka /dev/sr0 #linux #audio #cdparanoia
