What “chicksands” means
WikipediaChicksands is a village in the civil parish of Campton and Chicksands in the Central Bedfordshire district of Bedfordshire, England. It gives its name to MOD Chicksands, a military base which was developed from the 1930s on the Chicksands Priory estate. The village is on the River Flit and lies immediately west of the town of Shefford.
