Yup, that sorted it. Undo the top bolt, loosen the bottom, tilt the caliper forward so it's still on the pads and bleed again. Some more bubbles came out. Pedal feels good now. Test drive too. Got a TA inspection coming up to get it in writ
Left side brake done. Bleeding by pedal worked fine although I had to replace the wooden assistant with a flesh and blood one. The disc got replaced too. It had barely any wear on it but it looks like it corroded away. We haven't really use
