What “diksa” means
WikipediaDiksha also spelled diksa, deeksha or deeksa in common usage, translated as "preparation or consecration for a religious ceremony", is giving of a mantra or an initiation by the guru of Indian religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.
