What “dionysiaca” means
WikipediaThe Dionysiaca is an Ancient Greek epic poem by the 5th-century AD poet Nonnus. Totaling 48 books and 21,286 lines, it is the longest surviving poem from Greco-Roman antiquity. It focuses on the life of Dionysus, his expedition to India, and his triumphant return to the west. It is written in Homeric Greek and dactylic hexameter.
