It's been a while since I looked at the #Enneads butt I think she's cherry picking passages by #Plotinus https://bulletin.hds.harvard.edu/the-secular-religion-of-plotinus/
@Woodchaz I think #Plotinus ate magic mushrooms 4 times in his life, achieving transcendental clarity with the Ineffable that inspired the #Enneads. I think there was a lot of foraging of mushrooms in and around the ancient Mediterranean. h
I recently discovered Plotinus and Neoplatonism and wish there was a TikTok channel for the Enneads in the vocabulary of a 5th grader, cuz then I would totally download the app. #Neoplatonism #Plotinus #Enneads #TikTok #influencer #socialme
What “enneads” means
WikipediaThe Enneads, fully The Six Enneads, is the collection of writings of the philosopher Plotinus, edited and compiled by his student Porphyry. Plotinus was a student of Ammonius Saccas, and together they were founders of Neoplatonism. His work, through Augustine of Hippo, the Cappadocian Fathers, Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite and several subsequent Christian and Muslim thinkers, has greatly influenced Western and Near-Eastern thought.
