What “eskimos” means
WikipediaEskimo is a controversial umbrella term that refers to two closely related Indigenous peoples, namely Inuit and Yupik of eastern Siberia and Alaska. A related third group, Aleuts, who inhabit the Aleutian Islands, are generally excluded from the definition of Eskimo.
