What “kenosis” means
WikipediaIn Christian theology, kenosis is the "self-emptying" of Jesus. The word ἐκένωσεν is used in the Epistle to the Philippians: "[Jesus] made himself nothing" (NIV), or "[he] emptied himself" (NRSV), using the verb form κενόω, meaning "to empty".
