This is a variable star with an apparent visual magnitude that varies from 2.62 to 2.70, which is bright enough to be seen with the naked eye. Based upon parallax measurements, the distance to this system is about 166 light-years. It is drifting further away from the Sun with a mean radial velocity of +29.5 km/s.
