What “mothra” means
WikipediaMothra is a giant moth-like monster, or kaiju, who first appeared in the 1961 serialized novella The Luminous Fairies and Mothra, written by Takehiko Fukunaga, Shin'ichirō Nakamura and Yoshie Hotta, which later the same year was adapted into the film Mothra, directed by Ishirō Honda and produced and distributed by Toho.
