What “nicoise” means
WikipediaSalade niçoise is a salad that originated in the French city of Nice. It is traditionally made of tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, Niçoise olives and anchovies or tuna, dressed with olive oil or, in some historical versions, a vinaigrette.
