WikipediaTaylor Rehmet is an American politician, union leader, and aircraft mechanic elected in 2026 to represent the 9th district in the Texas Senate. A member of the Democratic Party, Rehmet gained national attention after he won the runoff election held on January 31, 2026, by 14.4%. The district, which Republican Donald Trump won by 17 points in 2024, had not been represented by a Democrat since 1991.
