What “sengokujidai” means
WikipediaThe Sengoku period was an era of civil war, political fragmentation and social change in Japanese history. It conventionally began with the Ōnin War in 1467, although the Kyōtoku incident of 1454 and the Meiō incident of 1493 have also been proposed as starting points. Its end is variously dated to Oda Nobunaga's entry into Kyoto in 1568, the fall of the Ashikaga shogunate in 1573, Toyotomi Hideyoshi's unification of Japan in 1590, the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600 or the Siege of Osaka in 1615.
