What “sogne” means
WikipediaSøgne is a former municipality in the old Vest-Agder county, Norway. The 151-square-kilometre (58 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 2020. The area is now part of Kristiansand Municipality in Agder county. The administrative centre was the village of Tangvall. Other villages and residential areas in the municipality included Ausviga, Eik, Høllen, Langenes, Lone, Lunde, Ny-Hellesund, Trysnes, Vedderheia, Ålo, and Åros.
