I arrived at Þingvellir National Park after 6pm. I set up my tent at the campsite (since wild camping is illegal in the national parks of Iceland), cooked, relaxed, then went for a walk on the main touristy paths of Thingvellir at around 10
From Glymur falls, I followed a 20km trail called Leggjabrjótur into Þingvellir National Park. This trail was a lot less muddy than the previous one, and just spectacular all around. I camped by Sandvatn Lake. It was below freezing at night
