I can wonder no longer, got the email this morning, and I have indeed renewed my license I'm a ham for another 10 years 🙂 But wow, what a confusing mess of a process. Even when you do it right, it's not overly clear that you did it right.
As it turns out, the #FCC #ULS system requires chrome-based browsers. It consistently breaks with Firefox. Pinche FCC. I filed and paid $35, and now 7 days later, I've been granted a #GMRS license. Cool. Awesome. Now I'm legal.

What “uls” means
WikipediaThe Uls is a river in Perm Krai, Russia, a left tributary of the Vishera. The river is 89 kilometres (55 mi) long, and its drainage basin is 2,190 square kilometres (850 mi2). It starts near the border with Sverdlovsk Oblast. Its mouth is near the village of Ust-Uls, 233 kilometres (145 mi) from Vishera's mouth.
