A question for SPARC experts – did anyone use virtualization/hypervisors on SPARC v9/Sun4u machines, i.e. before the availability of Sun4v processors? If so, is there any sample code for a (ideally bare-metal "type 1") hypervisor available?

WikipediaThe UltraSPARC is a microprocessor developed by Sun Microsystems and fabricated by Texas Instruments, introduced in mid-1995. It is the first microprocessor from Sun to implement the 64-bit SPARC V9 instruction set architecture (ISA). Marc Tremblay was a co-microarchitect.
