WikipediaThe Wairarapa is an unofficial region of New Zealand located in the south-eastern corner of the North Island, east of the cities of Wellington, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, and Palmerston North. The Wairarapa's northern boundary approximately matches the southern border of the former Hawke's Bay Province.
