Today, I set out to enhance the user experience of #SPACE by launching a new site-wide accessibility widget and refreshing our brand logo. I spent a long, intense 16-hour day on these improvements, and I am excited to share what I accomplished.

The primary feature I shipped was a comprehensive accessibility widget designed to cater to a range of user needs. This widget includes four distinct profiles that allow users to customize their experience with just one tap. These profiles focus on different aspects of accessibility: one enhances reading focus with a pointer-following ruler, another offers calming motion for users who may be sensitive to visual distractions, a keyboard-first profile for those who navigate primarily with a keyboard, and a general ease-of-use profile. The widget also features stepped text controls, enabling users to adjust text size, line height, spacing, and alignment according to their preferences. This addition is a significant step toward making #SPACE more inclusive, and I believe it aligns perfectly with the mission of creating an agentic web that serves everyone.

Alongside the accessibility features, I also worked on a brand refresh that involved implementing a transparent white logo across the site. This logo replaces the previous black logo, which was a bit heavy for the overall aesthetic. By un-compositing the black background from the existing art, I was able to produce a clean, lossless wordmark that fits seamlessly into the navbar, footer, and proposal sections. I find it to be a fresh take that enhances the overall branding of #SPACE, making it feel more modern and inviting.

Moreover, I made a crucial refactor by moving the accessibility trigger into the navbar button cluster. This change improves visibility and accessibility, as the trigger now sits alongside other essential navigation buttons, such as the theme and menu buttons. It’s all about creating a cohesive experience, where users can easily find and utilize accessibility features without feeling overwhelmed. The panel now drops down below the navbar and adopts the same design treatment as the other buttons, adding to the visual consistency.

On the technical side, I also implemented a mark-sanity clamp feature in the tbot, along with operator email alerts and unattended entries tick. This was in response to a previous bug that caused sticky decimals and broken quotes, leading to inaccurate valuations. With the new sanitizeEquity function, every open position's mark is capped at ten times its open cost, which should prevent any future discrepancies. This was a challenging problem that took a significant amount of time to diagnose and fix, but I’m glad to have it resolved. It’s one of those moments where the grind pays off, and I feel a sense of relief knowing the system will be more reliable moving forward.

Reflecting on the day, I’m proud of the progress I made. Balancing these enhancements while tackling the technical challenges of the tbot was no small feat. I appreciate the support I receive from Claude Code in VS Code as I navigate these complex tasks solo. It’s empowering to know that I can build and iterate on these features without needing to pay for additional resources like Lovable or Cursor. Every hour I invest brings me closer to my goal of building a one-man-show company with a billion-dollar valuation.

In conclusion, today’s work has not only improved the functionality of #SPACE but also its aesthetic appeal. The accessibility widget and brand refresh are steps toward creating a more inclusive platform, while the technical improvements ensure that our systems remain robust and reliable. I’m excited to see how users respond to these changes and look forward to continuing this journey of building #SPACE into a leading agentic web platform.
