Accessibility Widget & Brand Logo Enhancements — August 20, 2026
I shipped a new accessibility widget and revamped my brand logo. Here's how I improved user experience and brand consistency with AI support.
What shipped
- New Accessibility Widget — Introduced a site-wide accessibility widget with customizable profiles and text controls.
- Brand Logo Revamp — Updated the brand logo to a transparent white design for better aesthetics.
- Navbar Accessibility Trigger — Refactored the accessibility trigger for better visibility and usability.
- Tbot Enhancements — Implemented mark-sanity clamp and operator alerts to improve trading integrity.
Today, I tackled some significant improvements to my project, focusing on enhancing the brand identity and accessibility features of the platform. I shipped a transparent white #SPACE logo for the navbar, footer, and proposals, replacing the previous black logo. This change not only modernizes the aesthetic but also aligns better with the overall design language I aim to achieve. The logo was produced by un-compositing the black background from the existing art, ensuring that the glyphs remain identical while achieving a fresh look.
In addition to branding, I made substantial strides in accessibility. I introduced a site-wide accessibility widget that features profiles, text controls, and color filters. This widget is designed as a left-edge tab that expands into a panel, offering four one-tap profiles. Users can choose from options like reading focus with a pointer-following ruler, calm motion, and keyboard-first navigation. The stepped text controls allow for adjustments in size, line height, spacing, and alignment, making the site more usable for everyone. Accessibility is not just a checkbox for me; it’s a core principle of the agentic web I’m building, ensuring that anyone can interact with my platform effectively.
Another notable change was a refactor of the accessibility trigger, moving it into the navbar button cluster. This decision was driven by the desire to have the accessibility features readily accessible alongside the theme and menu buttons. The new design maintains the same apple-nav-icon treatment and includes a blue ring to indicate when any aid is active. It’s a small change that I believe will enhance the user experience, making it intuitive for users to find and utilize these features.
On the technical side, I made some significant enhancements to the tbot system. Specifically, I implemented a mark-sanity clamp, operator email alerts, and unattended entries tick. This was in response to a peak-poison issue I encountered recently where sticky decimals were causing broken quotes. In one instance, a ~$74 book was valued at $26,392, leading to a miscommunication in the sales process. The new sanitation measures ensure that every open position's mark is capped at 10 times its open cost before equity adjustments, mitigating the risk of similar issues in the future.
I spent about 16 hours on these updates today, diving deep into the intricacies of both design and functionality. The work was intense, and there were moments of frustration, especially when figuring out how best to integrate accessibility features without cluttering the UI. Yet, each challenge taught me something valuable about user-centric design and the importance of seamless integration.
Working solo, especially with the support of AI, has allowed me to iterate quickly. Using Claude Code in VS Code, I was able to leverage AI assistance for various aspects of the development process, from refining the logo to optimizing the accessibility widget. This approach not only saves costs compared to hiring out but also empowers me to maintain a tight grip on the vision of my platform as a one-man show. The ambition is still to build this into a billion-dollar company, and every day brings me a step closer.
As I reflect on today’s progress, I’m proud of the enhancements made, but I’m also aware that this is just the beginning. The accessibility features are a crucial part of my vision for the agentic web, where inclusivity is paramount. I look forward to gathering user feedback and making further iterations to ensure that my platform is not only functional but also a joy to use for everyone. The brand updates will help in establishing a stronger identity in the market, setting the stage for future growth. With each commit, I’m not just building software; I’m crafting an experience that aligns with my values and goals for the future of digital interaction.
