Geofence

A virtual boundary that triggers when someone enters or leaves an area.

A geofence is a virtual perimeter drawn around a real-world point or area. When a phone or device crosses it, an event fires — for example, a portal could nudge a visitor with a coupon when they're inside its block, or notify the owner that a regular has arrived.
