Drones, SEO Enhancements, and Marketplace Upgrades — May 30, 2026
I shipped new features for drones, improved SEO performance, and enhanced the marketplace experience, all while fixing critical issues in the system.
What shipped
- New Drone Modal — Introduced a pick-one-drone modal for intercept resolution.
- Marketplace Hero Section — Implemented a conversion-focused hero and tier-ladder copy.
- SEO Performance Fix — Resynced domain profiles to reduce daily upstream calls.
- Improved Drone Glyph — Shrunk the drone glyph by 30% for a cleaner interface.
- Orbit Motion Enhancements — Revamped orbit motion to maintain visual consistency.
Today, I set out to enhance the user experience across several key areas of the platform: drones, SEO performance, and the marketplace. My goal was not just to add new features, but to ensure that each enhancement contributed to the overall usability and efficiency of the system. I shipped a total of nine commits in a solid four-hour session, which felt both productive and rewarding.
One of the standout features I implemented was the pick-one-drone modal in the missile section. This feature allows users to select a drone during an intercept resolution scenario, enhancing the interactivity of the platform. Additionally, I introduced an in-flight missile marker that provides real-time feedback during operations. To make it even more user-friendly, I added a portal #name pill below every portal, which helps to keep the UI organized and intuitive.
In the marketplace area, I focused on refining our conversion strategy. I designed a new hero section that is conversion-focused and mapped tier-ladder copy to actual #Portal, BRON, CADE, and AI services. This should help in guiding users through their journey, making it easier for them to understand the value of our offerings and how they relate to their needs. It’s a small but significant change that I hope will positively impact user engagement and conversion rates.
On the technical side, I had to tackle some frustrating bugs, particularly in the SEO-Sara module. I fixed a critical issue related to the weekly per-domain profile resync, ensuring that keywords are only enriched on the first pass. This change cuts down on daily upstream calls by a staggering seven times, which should significantly reduce server load and improve performance.
I also migrated to a new API endpoint for domain management, which involved throttling CADE calls to just once per day per domain. This adjustment was partly in response to feedback from Fernando, who raised concerns about the frequency of these calls impacting performance. I’m learning that balancing user feedback with system capabilities is an ongoing challenge, but it’s essential for creating a sustainable platform.
In the drones section, I made several enhancements as well. I shrank the drone glyph by about 30%, which was a straightforward fix but necessary for maintaining a clean interface. The orbit motion was also revamped to mimic the call orbs, ensuring that the motion is consistent and visually appealing. I made sure that the orbit motion uses the same spin and counter-spin pattern as the call orbs, which helps keep the pills upright and readable.
One of the more complex fixes involved preserving the incomingDrones across the portalToSpatial merge. This was crucial to ensure that the orbit ring survives when a portal detail is opened. I spent a significant chunk of time figuring out how to keep the user experience seamless while implementing these changes. It’s moments like these that remind me of the intricate nature of building a platform like this — the attention to detail is paramount.
Reflecting on today’s work, I’m proud of the progress I made but also aware of the challenges that come with solo development. While AI has been a fantastic tool in streamlining some processes, there are still areas where my hands-on involvement is crucial. Building this platform alone is a monumental task, but every feature and fix brings me one step closer to my vision of a one-man-show company valued at a billion dollars. Each session like today’s is a reminder of what I’m capable of achieving, even in the face of bugs and setbacks.
In summary, today’s session was a blend of new features, critical fixes, and enhancements that I believe will improve the overall user experience. As I continue to build and refine the agentic web platform, I’m excited to see how these changes will impact user engagement and performance. I’ve learned that every commit tells a story, and today’s narrative is one of growth, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
