The O&E story started when I was 20 years old and cooking at a four-star country club in Bend, Oregon called Broken Top. My parents were visiting me at the restaurant, so I prepared and served them a six-course dinner, starting with a chowder, and finishing with my signature Pecan Crumble Creme Brule table-side. My mother asked me if I opened a restaurant, what would I call it and I replied, "Oceans & Earth" because of the love I have for surfing and snowboarding and my passion about the future of our Mother Earth.
