A pioneer in bringing hummus to Kansas City, he was often found offering samples in grocery stores across the metro, sharing its roots and health benefits—long before it became a household staple. His passion eventually led to his products being stocked in Whole Foods stores nationwide. In 2021, with the support of friends, family, and the community he helped build, Baba opened the doors to Baba's Pantry—a space where he could finally cook freely and share his story through food. After years of working in partnership with others, he was able to become independent and create a home for his own unique dishes and products.
