Our little restaurant on Beacon Hill started as an idea back in 2004. After several months of traveling around Italy followed by two years in Washington DC running Obelisk restaurant, and making dough at 2Amys, we returned to our beloved Pacific Northwest and started raising funds, finding investors, and looking for a location in our neighborhood (no small feat). Several backyard fundraising parties later, and with a space secured, we spent six months building it out with the help of family, friends, neighbors and adventurous strangers.
