Higgsfield Image-to-Video Pipeline & Portal Enhancements — June 21, 2026
I launched the Higgsfield image-to-video pipeline and improved portal features, tackling numerous bugs and enhancing user experience.
What shipped
- Image-to-Video Pipeline Live — Launched the Google Veo 3 model for seamless image-to-video conversion.
- Portal Enhancements — Improved user experience with upgraded tier visibility and navigation.
- Multi-Modal Create Box — Introduced adaptive prompts for various content types in creation.
- Bug Fixes — Resolved issues with portal actions and theme loading for better UX.
- Admin Control Panel — New panel for managing models, pricing, and recent jobs in Higgsfield.
Today, I set out to enhance the Higgsfield platform by launching the image-to-video pipeline and making significant improvements to the portal experience. By the end of this long 11-hour day, I successfully shipped 43 commits, including 29 feature enhancements and 14 bug fixes. The highlight was the introduction of the Google Veo 3 model, which now allows users to transform images into videos seamlessly.
The primary feature I focused on was the new image-to-video capability in Higgsfield. This required integrating the Veo 3 model into our existing architecture, which involved extensive testing and validation against the Cloud API. I confirmed that the model works end-to-end, allowing users to generate videos from images directly within the platform. This addition brings the total number of available models to eight, significantly expanding our content generation capabilities. I also introduced five more models today, including Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0, broadening the creative tools available to our users.
In parallel to these enhancements, I made several improvements to the portal interface. I removed the AI buys/sells badges, which were cluttering the user experience, and added a right-justified Upgrade box for owners below the top tier. This new feature opens a left-docked panel that displays the tier ladder, giving users clear visibility into their upgrade options. Additionally, I renamed the tier system to the #space Portal-forward ladder, aligning it more closely with our branding and mission.
While adding these features, I encountered a few bugs that consumed a significant amount of my time. For instance, the owner action ring was initially restricted to castle-tier portals, meaning smaller portals were missing key functionalities. I resolved this by ensuring that every owned portal, except for Campfire, now displays the action ring. Debugging this issue required careful examination of the tier logic, and I learned the importance of thorough testing across all portal types.
Another challenge arose with the theme loading process. Users with explicit dark themes were experiencing a light flash on load, which disrupted the user experience. To fix this, I implemented a pre-paint bootstrap script that ensures the dark theme is applied before the page fully loads. This fix was crucial for maintaining a consistent visual experience across all user settings. I also made adjustments to the admin revenue page, aligning it properly for better usability.
The day wasn't just about fixing bugs; I also focused on enhancing the user interface and overall experience. I introduced a multi-modal create box that adapts prompts based on the type of content being generated—be it images, videos, audio, or 3D. This feature, along with the new admin control panel for Higgsfield, allows users to manage their models, pricing, and recent jobs seamlessly. I also implemented a dismissible 'build job done' banner that keeps users informed without cluttering the interface.
Reflecting on the day's work, I feel a sense of accomplishment. Building this platform solo, with AI as my team, is both a challenge and a rewarding journey. The integration of Claude Code in VS Code has been instrumental in allowing me to manage this workload without the need for additional resources like Lovable or Cursor. Each commit reflects my vision for a one-man-show company with a billion-dollar valuation, and every bug fixed and feature added is a step toward that goal. As I continue to refine the Higgsfield platform and expand its capabilities, I remain committed to building an agentic web that empowers users to create and innovate like never before.
