Orchestration Enhancements & Tavus Persona Fixes — June 13, 2026

I shipped critical orchestration enhancements and Tavus persona fixes, including AI handoffs and automated lead follow-ups. Here’s how I did it.

Today was another long day at the keyboard, clocking in at around 23 hours. I set out to tackle some critical enhancements for our orchestration capabilities and make significant improvements to the Tavus persona management system. I’m pleased to report that I shipped 10 commits today, including seven features and three fixes, which have collectively brought us closer to my vision of a seamless agentic web experience.

The first major feature I implemented was the addition of an owner’s AI clone as the fifth team member in our orchestration setup. This allows specialists to hand conversations back to the main host, streamlining the handoff process. This was crucial because I wanted to ensure that any specialist conversation can smoothly transition back to the owner’s AI, maintaining continuity and context for the user. It’s a small but significant enhancement that I believe will make our platform more intuitive.

I also worked on enabling AI-to-AI department handoffs, allowing agents to transfer visitors to the right specialist in tandem. This means that if a visitor needs a specific type of assistance, they can be quickly routed to the appropriate department agent without any hiccups. I had to wrestle with some bugs to get this feature operational, including several miscommunications between agents during testing. Eventually, I managed to iron out the kinks, and I’m excited about the efficiency this will bring to our portal.

On the Tavus front, I focused on curating the persona dropdown to only show the four department agents that we own and have equipped with tools. Previously, the
