Algorithmic suppression / shadow ban

When a platform quietly limits who sees your content.

A shadow ban (or "algorithmic suppression") is the soft version of being silenced: your posts are still up, but the platform's feed algorithm shows them to far fewer people without telling you. Because the cause is opaque, you cannot fix it. On hashtag.org, distribution is keyword-auctioned and on-map — the rules are visible, so suppression is not possible.
