what does agentic mean

Agentic means capable of acting on its own behalf.

Agentic means capable of acting on its own behalf. In AI it describes software that can decide what to do next and then do it, rather than only responding when prompted. The word borrows from agency, the ability to take deliberate action, and applies it to systems that carry a task forward with limited hand-holding.
